Uonuma is the name of the region of Niigata Prefecture where Yuzawa town is located. In our restaurant “Murangozzo”, you can enjoy the natural culinary delights of the region, in specially prepared unique dishes. We obtain the freshest ingredients direct from local farmers so that you can be sure of the highest quality and freshness.
Uonuma is famous for nature, snow, onsen hot springs… and also delicious foods. We use these local ingredients to prepare a range of interesting and tasty dishes while retaining the original taste as much as possible. You can enjoy our meals both at lunchtimes and evenings. Reservations are required for evening meals.
Local cuisine suits the taste of the local brands of Japanese ‘sake’, of which there are many. Our staff will be happy to help recommend which sake goes best with your chosen meal. We highly recommend that you try traditional Japanese sake to complement your meal in “Murangozzo”.
Relax and enjoy.
Our restaurant provides a relaxing and stylish atmosphere in which to enjoy your meal. Some areas are partitioned by glass while others are small private areas. At the bar counter, you can enjoy sake and other drinks while striking up a conversation with our friendly staff.
Whichever style you choose, you can be sure to enjoy your meal here in this traditional, but at the same time modern, setting.
